whew, today was completely insane. never have i been so irritated by people that i actually almost started shit. you know me, it takes a lot for me to even get near that level of irritation. and everything that irritated me happened within 10-15 minutes. it was the traffic, the stupid drivers, and who knows what else. yeah they were probably just as irritated as i was, but come on there were people trying to create lanes between two turning lanes that already existed, and not to mention the stupid fucker who tried to cut me off.
the actually ceremony was crazier. when mike and i graduated from scripps, our graduations were held at the golden hall downtown. with the increase in the number of graduates, they've since moved the ceremony to the san diego convention center. didn't see anyone i know which is a bit surprising to me. thought i would know at least one person there with a sibling or cousin graduating today.
it was hard gettin pictures of chris because of where we were sitting (middle of the hall, to the right of the stage.) chris was sitting completely opposite of us. i sorta got a back shot of him going up to receive his diploma but then the camera died on me and i wasn't able to get anything else for a while.
i ended up going over to the other side of the hall, to try to find a chris in the sea of graduates. i don't know how long i had to stand on the platform before i could get a good look at anyone. thank goodness chris was seated not too far from the platform and i was able to get a few pictures of him seated. :)
the fun part: we didn't really say where we were gonna meet after the ceremony mostly cuz we didn't have time. we were afraid chris was gonna be late for the line up so even before we were anywhere near the entrance to the parking garage, chris and mom got out of the car and started heading in, leaving no time to plan anything afterwards. mike and i eventually did find chris but then mike went to go look for mom, dad and grandma. i stayed with chris, and eventually dad showed up, then mike, then mom and grandma.
finally it was off to claim jumper for one BIG meal and then pictures after we got home and i walked ein.

right now am watching this thing on tokyo (travel channel). right now there's this thing on robotic toys from the sony store in ginza. $850 for a robotic dog that kicks a ball, responds to i think 7 voice commands, and who knows what else it does. earlier they were talking about the top floor of the sony store and how it's all video games geared. i know i haven't hardcore gamed in ages, but just the idea of being able to test out all the newest video games before the rest of the world sounds.. i dunno :) i think just having an entire floor dedicated to gaming sounds fabulous.
